BOROBUDUR TEMPLE Borobudur temple is a buddha temple. Originally borobudur was named budurboro but it was changed to borobudur. The name itself means "The Great Buddha" boro means great and budur means buddha. This temple was so astonishing that it attracts UNESCO and listed as the World Largest Buddha Temple in The World. The temple was built in the 9th century. It was built under the Sailendra dynasty. But at some times the building was left alone. Then it was rediscovered by Cornelius, who is a Dutch Engineer. Because at that time Java was under British administration. The restoration of Borobudur was carried out between 1907 to 1911 then stopped at some point then continue again at 1960. Indonesia goverment was help by UNESCO. They have a master plan to rebuild Borobudur Temple. And nowadays, the place is publicly open for everyone at any range of ages.
